Job Description
Staffing Service is currently recruiting experienced Construction Labourers for immediate start positions across London and surrounding areas. We are working with leading general contractors, building companies, and construction firms requiring reliable, hardworking labourers for various residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- General construction site labour including excavation, groundwork, and foundation preparation
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
- Site clearance, cleanup, and waste management
- Assisting tradespeople including bricklayers, carpenters, and concreters
- Operating hand tools and basic power tools safely
- Mixing concrete, mortar, and other building materials
- Erecting and dismantling temporary construction fencing and barriers
- Supporting demolition work and site preparation
- Maintaining site safety standards and following health & safety protocols
Essential Requirements
- Valid CSCS Labourer Card (Green Card minimum) – Essential
- Previous construction site experience (minimum 6 months preferred)
- Good understanding of site safety and health & safety procedures
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting
- Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic
- Own PPE (hard hat, hi-vis, steel toe boots, gloves)
- Right to work in the UK
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Desirable Qualifications
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or similar safety certification
- First Aid at Work certification
- Manual handling training
- Asbestos awareness training
- Working at height certification
- Experience with groundworks, concrete, or formwork
- Own transport (beneficial for early starts on various sites)

Working Hours & Conditions
Typical working hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm (40-45 hours per week). Saturday work may be available providing overtime opportunities. Projects range from residential house builds and home extensions to commercial construction and infrastructure projects. You will be working as part of professional construction teams on quality developments across London.
