We are looking for a skilled and dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team in Watford. As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing excellent technical support to our employees. This position requires a proactive and customer-focused individual who can troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, and routers.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity.
- Document and track all support requests and resolutions using ticketing systems.
- Conduct user training and provide guidance on IT policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A+ or similar IT certification is a plus.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) is beneficial.
